James signs Holocaust Memorial Day Book of Commitment

Last week, James Arbuthnot, MP for North East Hampshire, signed a Book of Commitment in the House of Commons, in doing so pledged his commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day, honoured those who died during the Holocaust, and hoped that by doing so, this would encourage all to work together to combat prejudice and racism today. 

Resolution to Post Office / Horizon system problems proposed

Members of Parliament yesterday met senior representatives from the Post Office to discuss some issues raised by a number of SubPostmasters and SubPostmistresses concerning apparent shortages and branch accounting procedures. 

James Arbuthnot MP spreads the word about type 1 diabetes in Parliament

James has shown support for JDRF, the world’s leading type 1 diabetes research charity, by attending the ‘Type 1 Parliament’ lobbying event which took place in Westminster on 25 April 2012. He attended the event alongside 50 other MPs, and spoke to adults and children about living with type 1 diabetes. Local MP offers tips on school mock elections

On Friday 18 May, James Arbuthnot, Member of Parliament for North East Hampshire, will visit Robert May’s School in Odiham to talk to Year 9 pupils about the mock election campaigns they are running in the Citizenship unit of their Democracy and Government programme. 

Calthorpe Park School brings Model United Nations to Westminster

James Arbuthnot, Member of Parliament for North East Hampshire, welcomed a group of North East Hampshire pupils to his office at Westminster yesterday, to hear the motions they had passed at the annual Model United Nations which took place at Calthorpe Park School.
